Our team crafted the following timeline to help you prepare for your upcoming outdoor living project.
LAY THE FOUNDATION
The project kicks off the moment we break ground. Expect the hole to be larger and deeper than your finished pool. Once we have the right space, we’ll use steel rebar to line the hole for your pool.
PASS LOCAL INSPECTIONS
After we lay the groundwork for your custom pool project in South Florida, an inspector will review your pool plans and the job site to ensure everything is up to code. Throughout your project there will be approximately 25 days of inspections.
Shell Installation / Gunite
Once we get the green light from the initial inspection, we will apply the concrete that makes up your pool’s shells and steps. During this time we will also install any swim-outs, fountains, or and rough plumbing.
STRIP AND BACKFILL
Once the gunite is dried, we can start backfilling the walls and braces. If you live in select areas in South Florida, you may also need to have a tie in or elevation survey conducted during this phase. Our team will make sure to outline that for you and add it to your timeline.
Plumbing Installation and Inspection
Our team will now begin digging any trenches to lay pipe from your pool to your pool equipment.
Electrical Equipment Installation and Inspection
It’s time for the finishing touches and we will start with any electrical equipment hookup. After you give us your connectivity information and elevation survey, our team will run the run the conduit for the main electric supply used by your pool equipment and install any lighting or writing necessary. We will also install your pool pump, filter, and gas heaters during this phase.
PATIO PREPARATION
Before we place any pavers or additional design elements, our construction team will asses the area to level out and compact the sub-base in preparation for the patio.
TILE & DECK INSTALLATION
Once we’ve set up your patio area, we will begin installing your pool coping along your pool’s waterline tile, sand your deck, and set up any planter areas. Once this is complete, we will finalize your patio area with your choice of paver.
HOMEOWNER RESPONSIBILITIES
When we develop your contract, we will designate certain tasks that must complete before we can finalize your custom swimming pool project. This includes but is not limited to sod, landscaping, fencing, sprinkler systems, and alarms.
APPLY POOL PLASTER & FILL
We’re almost done! During this stage, we will prepare the concrete surfaces of your swimming pool and apply your pools finish so we can fill it with water. Once the water reaches halfway up the tile line, your pool will be considered full.
FINAL INSPECTION
The initial construction stage has come to an end, and we will remove all tools and trash used during the building phase. We will also complete a final assessment of your yard.
BALANCE YOUR POOL WATER
Once your pool is filled, the fire-up crew will start the equipment and balance the acid in your pool. During this time, it is normal for your pool water to look cloudy. We will notify you once the water in your pool is properly balanced and you can start to enjoy your new custom swimming pool.
NEW POOL OWNER ORIENTATION
Your new custom swimming pool is ready for you to enjoy, but before you take a dip make sure you schedule an orientation with our service department. During this orientation we will answer any questions you may have about your new pool and show you how to properly use your pool equipment.
