With porcelain also being an environmentally-friendly material, you can also feel confident that you are doing your part to support the environment as you design your perfect outdoor environment.
At Flōridian, our porcelain pavers are popular options for families who need flexibility without sacrificing beauty and functionality. Our porcelain pavers offer:
Skid Resistance
Porcelain pavers are naturally skid-resistant, which is why they are such a popular option for decks, pools, and terraces.
Naturally Cooling
Porcelain does not heat up like other materials, which is excellent if you want to enjoy your outdoor space barefoot. Porcelain pavers will withstand heat and offer year-round comfort.
Durability
Porcelain pavers are incredibly tough. These pavers can withstand up to 2,000 pounds, which makes them perfect for driveways, terraces, gardens, or other high-traffic areas.
Certified Installer
As a certified porcelain installer, Flōridian has redefined installation methods for large format pavers that are sure to withstand not only inclement weather but also regular wear & tear through the years.
Low Maintenance
Porcelain tile is incredibly low maintenance. It does not fade, is not easily cracked, and is resistant to mold, mildew, and moisture damage.
Large Format
One of the most popular reasons for the increase in demand for porcelain pavers is the large format sizes that actually make porcelain pavers competitive when compared with large format natural stone pavers. Some examples are 24” x 24”, 16” x 32”, and even 48” x 48”.
One of the things that people love about porcelain pavers is the variety of options. Porcelain pavers come in a number of prints and color schemes. You can truly customize your outdoor space using porcelain pavers instead of natural stone. Porcelain pavers may cost a bit more than natural stone or concrete, but the results are unparalleled.
Choosing the right pavers ultimately comes down to your vision for your space, your budget, and your preferences. At Flōridian, we are here to provide knowledge and guidance that will help you make your landscaping and outdoor space dreams come true.
2cm thick pavers are the thinnest option and are suitable for light traffic areas such as walkways and patios. This porcelain paver is less durable than thicker pavers, but it is also more affordable and easier to install. Learn more about them here.
3cm thick pavers are a good middle ground option. This porcelain paver is more durable than 2cm pavers but not as heavy or difficult to install as 5cm pavers. 3cm porcelain pavers are a good choice for medium-traffic areas such as around swimming pools or in outdoor living spaces. Learn more about them here.
5cm thick pavers are the heaviest and most durable option. They can withstand heavy traffic and weather conditions, making them a good choice for driveways or high-traffic outdoor areas. However, they are also the most expensive option and the most difficult to install. Learn more about them here.

Whether this is your first or second pavers project in South Florida, you may have several questions about the process and what to expect. Our team crafted the following timeline to help you prepare for your upcoming outdoor living project.
Proposal
This is an atmosphere of collaboration where we will take the time to discuss your vision for the project, timelines, and budgets.
Pre-Project Preparation
This phase is where the fun begins. We’ll remove anything from the project area like furniture and landscape beds.
Laying the groundwork
In our next step, we’ll start laying the groundwork for your new surfaces. If necessary we’ll remove any concrete and start excavating. This is where we will remove or add dirt to the area. We will also apply a base or sub-base of soil or sand on the ground in order to compact and level things out wherever necessary.
Procuring materials
Here is where we will ensure that all of your materials are ready to go so we can begin installing your new pavers.
Setting your pavers
Once we have the materials, we’ll start laying your materials in the design and style you've chosen for your project. We’ll be focusing on laying the paving materials that don't require alterations.
Complex paver settings
Next, our experts will make any custom cuts and adjustments to your pavers for any tricky areas such as corners.
Initial Quality Control Inspection
Our team will finalize all of the placement requirements for your project, ensuring that every piece is set with the appropriate amount of pressure and proper placement.
Custom Adjustments
Our team will ensure any custom elements like planter boxes or steps are installed as per your project.
Set the seal
After all the pavers are installed, we will secure your pavers with an application mix of sand and mud in the creases and edges.
Second Quality Control Inspection
In this step, a member of our management team will walk through your property and ensure that everything has been executed according to plan.
Cleaning & maintenance
The initial construction stage has come to an end, and we will remove all tools and trash used during the project and clean your pavers. If you purchased a clean & seal, we will apply a sealant to ensure they are protected against the Florida heat and other elements.
Customer Inspection
Our last step will be to close out your project after we've ensured that you are delighted with your new pavers!
